From Jiri to Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar

Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek route is typical kind of trek route. This route was firstly used by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa & Edmund Hillary. It was done in 1953 AD. This trek is long as we start our trek from Jiri. Our full walk will be in Sagarmatha National Park. It will be exhilarating as we will be offered with the natural beauty of forests combined with mountains ranges; vegetation. This will be so much impressive. We will be lucky enough to touch the top of few famous Rocky Mountains in Lands of Himalaya.
From Jiri, we start our real trek to Everest base camp. Our every step leads us to more high altitude. In our walk, we will have interaction with the Sherpa people. They are the main inhabitant of the Everest region. Exploring unique tradition & culture will be interesting. After achieving our destination, our ending point is Lukla. We will be back on Kathmandu with early morning mountain flight. Our flight will offer us panoramic views of Everest mountain ranges. It will be so much impressive in our flight. Day To Day Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and check-in to Hotel
On landing your flight on TIA Nepal, there will be a warm welcome for you. Our representative of Everest Trekking Routes will be waiting for your arrival. You will be shifted to a place of accommodation. With a rest of some time, a brief description of the upcoming program is done with your guide.
Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley
The first day of Nepal tour starts with sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. Having our breakfast we move to Pashupatinath. It is the most known holiest temple of Lord Shiva. Spending a little time we move to Bauddhanath (Little Tibet). Our next destination is Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). Visiting all this we will move to Kathmandu (Basantpur) Durbar Square, the final destination. Lastly, we will be back to our hotel and make preparation for the next program.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Bhandar via Jiri (1905m) – 8 Hours
Our first destination is Jiri. It is just 187 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu valley. We will have the drive to Jiri. Our all management of the lunch program is done on the highway. This will start our trek. Driving through the main highway for about 8 hours we will be in Jiri. In our leisure time, we will we walk around the valley.
Day 04: Bhandar to Sete (2575m) – 7 Hours
From Bhandar we start our real walking trek. We descend down through deep forests. We cross few streams in the path. It will be a very easy walk for us. From small settlements of Dokharpa & Baranda, we lead to our destination. Now we climb forests down to Surma Khola. In this way, we reach sete for our night.
Day 05: Sete to Junbesi (2670m) – 7 Hours
Walking on the easy road will also make us tired. Waking up the early morning we will be ready to walk to Junbesi. Our today’s walk is going to be difficult as we need to cross Lamjura La passing. Crossing this pass, we pass by the villages of Goyem & Dachau. Lastly, we descend down to Tragdobuk and then to Junbeshi for our night.
Day 06: Junbesi to Nunthala (2220m) – 6 Hours
In comparison, today we will have an easy walk to Nunthala. Climbing up to forest slope, we reach our destination. From walking track, we will be offered with glorious views of giant mountains ranges. It will be so much impressive for us. Playing with nature we will certainly reach Nunthala for our night.
Day 07: Nunthala to Bupsa (2360m) – 6 Hours
From Nunthala our next destination is Bupsa. We may have an attitude problem. Day by day our walk leads us higher & higher altitude. Crossing suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River, we continue our walk and reach Jubing. From here we have straight walk to Churkha. Like this, we reach Bupsa to spend our night.
Day 08: Bupsa to Surke (2290m) – 6 Hours
Surke is our next destination. Crossing Khari La Pass we will reach Surke. This pass will offer us glorious views of Gyachung Kang & Khumbila Mountains among others. We can have an interaction with the local people. They can provide us with information about local culture & tradition of local people. Enjoying this we will continue our walk to Bupsa.
Day 09: Surke to Phakding (2610m) – 5 Hours
Resuming our journey, Phakding is our next destination. Walking through Chaurikharka we resume our journey. We will up to Chhiplung. It may create difficulty. Resting for some time, we again walk down to Phakding. On reaching Phakding, we can visit around the valley and return back to our place for the night.
Day 10: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) – 6 Hours
Namche Bazaar is our today’s destination. Crossing Hillary Suspension Bridge we will start our trek. Walking through the river bank of the Dudhkoshi River, we lead to our destination. This will be our entrance of Sagarmatha national park. In this way, we eventually reach Namche Bazaar for our night.
Day 11: Acclimatization at Namche
We start our trek to high altitude. It creates difficulty in walking. So we will spend our whole day accumulating our self at Namche Bazaar. We will visit all around the places over here. Tourist Visitor Center is near Headquarter of Sagarmatha National Park is also in our today’s routine.
Day 12: Namche to Tengboche (3870m) – 6 Hours
Accumulating our self at Namche Bazar with the weather, we walk to Tengboche 3800 m. We can get the opportunity of enjoying the amazing spectacular natural beauty with a quite close magnificent view of giant mountain ranges in our path. It will be so much impressive. Lastly, we unknowingly reach Tengboche to spend our night.
Day 13: Tengboche to Dingboche (4360m) – 6 Hours
Our next destination is Dingboche. Walking on zigzag main trial will be difficult. But struggling over here offer us a very close view of the surrounding giant mountain ranges. Taking a picture by resting at many viewpoints, we resume our journey. Walking around 4 to 5 hours we will be at Dingboche to spend our night.
Day 14: Dingboche to Dughla (4600m) – 4 Hours
From Dingboche, we will ascend down to Dughla. We will be walking through the track of Khumbu Khola valley along arid terraces. This walk will offer us awesome mountain views of the surrounding. At first, we reach Dusa & to Phulung Karpo. After resting for some time, we continue our journey to Dughla to spend our night.
Day 15: Dughla to Lobuche (4940m) – 3 Hours
Today's walk is going to be little shorter relatively. While we climb down to Lobuche, we can have enough time to observe and relax around Lobuche. We can have panoramic views of Lobuche, Amadablam, Thamserku & Kangtegaon in our way. This can easily allure anyone walking in the track of Lobuche.
Day 16: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5170m) to EBC (5364m) and back to Gorakshep – 8 Hours
Today is an important day of our trek. It will be difficult for us as we need to reach Everest base camp and return back to Gorakshep. We start our trek in the early morning. Reaching on Everest Base Camp we spend little time. It will be so many impressive moments. For memory, we can capture a picture with us. We will again return back to Gorakshep for our night.
Day 17: Gorakshep to Kalapatthar (5545m) to Pheriche (4280m) – 8 Hours
This day is also quite important for us. We need to hike up to Kalapatther and trek down to Pheriche. We will start in early time to reach the best viewpoint of Kalapatthar. We can get amazing mountain panorama from this viewpoint. Enjoying amazing views from Kalapatthar, we trek down to Pheriche for our night.
Day 18: Pheriche to Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m) – 6 Hours
Our all destination is finished. It is time to return back to our place. In our returning journey, our destination is Namche Bazaar. The same beauty of nature with mountain ranges is so much impressive. We view them from a different angle. Continuing downhill track we reach Namche Bazaar for our night.
Day 19: Namche to Lukla (2800m) – 7 Hours
From Namche Bazaar, our journey leads us to Lukla. It is the ending point of our trek. It will be full of joy viewing a beautiful glimpse of giant mountain ranges. It will be so much easy walking on flat & downhill trial. Reaching on Lukla we will make confirmation of our tomorrow’s flight to Lukla. Finishing it we will rest remaining time.
Day 20: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Having early morning mountain flight to Kathmandu, we can feel as if we are flying in heaven. It will be about 1 Hr. we will be flying above beautiful giant ranges of mountains. It will be so much impressive moment of our life. On arrival in Kathmandu, we will be shifted to our hotel which will end our trek.  
Day 20: Farewell

Spending the last night at Kathmandu, we will be ready to return back to the homeland. The small farewell program is organized for your team. Management of returning back and departure is made by our team. Hope you will be back to Nepal to visit the remaining side of beautiful Nepal.
